Job Title: FLT C/B + sideloader Driver

Location: Gloucester

Pay Rate: £13.00 p/h

Contract: Temporary ongoing with permanent opportunities available

gap personnel Gloucester are currently recruiting a forklift driver for client in Gloucester. Duties include, loading vehicles, unloading articulated vehicles delivering to them, and also general forklift and yard duties. There will also be some interaction with other team members in this role as you will be required to take materials in and out of the warehouse.

You will be using a counterbalance forklift, and a current counterbalance forklift and sideloader licence is a requirement for this role. Has to have both licenses in date.

Main Duties as a FLT Counterbalance and sideloader Driver:

  • Forklift driving
  • Manual handling
  • Counting and measuring
  • Accurate reading and understanding of delivery notes, picking notes, and works orders.
  • Good Communication between operatives on site.
  • Working independently

Working Hours:

• Monday To Friday day shift hours

Hourly Pay Rates

• Basic Rate - £13.00

Performance will be judged on:

  • Safe and efficient working practices
  • Accuracy and safety of vehicle loading and unloading,
  • Demeanour
  • Understanding of company processes

This is a physical role and will suit someone used to manually handling products as well as the use of a forklift. Good English is required for this role due to the communication required between operatives and supervisors. This is for speed, accuracy and safety purposes.
