Full-time, Permanent, £25,000 - £27,000Employability Officer Location: Covering Blackwood, Cwmbran & Newport

Hours: Weekdays, 9:00am - 4:30pm About the Role We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an Employability Officer to support the delivery of employability programmes across South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping people overcome barriers to employment and secure sustainable job opportunities.

The successful candidate will work closely with local employers, identify work placements and job opportunities, and provide ongoing support to participants to help them progress into employment.

Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with employers across South Wales.

Identify sustainable job opportunities and work placements for programme participants.

Match participants to suitable employment opportunities.

Support participants throughout their employment journey.

Conduct workplace health and safety checks and risk assessments.

Maintain accurate records and collect required employment evidence.

Represent the organisation at local networking, marketing and recruitment events.

Keep up to date with local labour market trends and employer needs.

Experience sourcing job opportunities or work placements.

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Knowledge of the South Wales labour market.
