We are looking for a driven, ambitious, and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our growing sales team. This role focuses on telephone-based business development, generating opportunities and winning new business. Based from our Blackburn office with hybrid working available, the role offers a clear pathway into senior sales and business development positions.
New Business Development
- Generate new business opportunities across target sectors and geographical areas.
- Arrange introductions and develop opportunities for the wider sales and branch teams.
- Achieve agreed activity levels and sales targets.
Market Research, Lead Generation & CRM Management
- Build and maintain a database of target companies and contacts.
- Use social media, online platforms, referrals and industry insights to generate leads.
- Maintain and manage the company CRM system ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Record all calls, conversations, opportunities and follow-up actions within the CRM.
- Monitor pipeline progression and support sales reporting and forecasting.
Confidence speaking with people over the telephone. A genuine desire to learn and develop a career in business development. Genuine interest in business development and building a career in sales. Confidence engaging with new people and building relationships. Experience using CRM systems would be advantageous but not essential.
