About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager of Creative Art Direction to lead the visual execution of our brand strategies for our international franchise and licensing partners. This role is pivotal in ensuring brand consistency, compelling storytelling, and localized relevance across all creative touchpoints for our franchise markets. The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative leader, able to translate global brand directives into actionable and impactful creative guidelines that resonate with diverse international audiences while upholding the core DNA of each Gap Inc. brand.
What You\'ll Do
- Creative Strategy & Art Direction:
- Develop and implement comprehensive creative art direction strategies and guidelines for international franchise partners, aligning with global brand vision and seasonal campaigns.
- Serve as a primary creative consultant, guiding international franchise teams to effectively translate global creative intent into locally relevant visual strategies while preserving brand integrity.
- Provide expert art direction for all photo and video shoots produced for international franchise use, ensuring high visual standards and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Oversee the development of creative toolkits, visual identity, partnering with the wider creative print and digital teams.
- Global Collaboration & Remote Partner Support:
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with international regional teams, adapting communication and support strategies to diverse time zones and cultural nuances.
- Lead efficient remote creative workflows, leveraging virtual tools and digital asset management systems for seamless collaboration, feedback, and asset sharing.
- Proactively provide virtual guidance and problem-solving expertise to franchise licensing teams, ensuring brand consistency and creative excellence across all international markets.
- Team Leadership & Development (as applicable):
- As a leader in the creative team mentoring and guiding the junior creative team members, cross functional partners and external agency partners involved in international franchise projects.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Who You Are
- Experienced & Visionary:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Photography, or a related field with demonstrated experience in creative art direction for global brands, preferably in fashion retail.
- Proven experience leading and directing photo/video shoots from concept to post-production, with expertise in digital-first creative strategies and omnichannel marketing.
- Demonstrated experience in consulting on creative direction for diverse markets and effectively managing remote creative projects with international teams.
- Exceptional aesthetic sensibility with a keen eye for detail, composition, and typography, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other creative tools.
- Insight to Ai integration to support creative processes, photography workflows, and asset optimization.
- Collaborative & Adaptable Leader:
- Proficiency in utilizing virtual collaboration tools and strong problem-solving skills for remote creative workflows.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and their impact on creative execution in various international markets.
- Highly collaborative, proactive, and results-driven, with the ability to influence and lead across various levels and functions in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Travel required up to 20%
