Permanent Full Time £25,417 per annum plus sleep-ins (£40 per night). Gap Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of our client for dedicated Support Workers in Canvey Island. This role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities in a supported living environment, helping them develop their independence and live fulfilling lives. The service users are highly independent, actively engage in the community and attend college or work. There is minimal challenging behaviour within the service.

About the Role:

  • Provide person-centred support, ensuring individuals can live as independently as possible
  • Assist with daily living tasks, tenancy management, and social activities
  • Support service users to access the community, attend college, or maintain employment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to promote well-being
  • Ensure all support is delivered in line with best practice and CQC regulations

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability with flexibility to work weekends and sleep-in shifts
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach
  • Ability to promote independence and provide respectful, empowering support
  • Previous experience in health and social care is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided

Working Hours:

You will be required to work a 40-hour week on a rotating shift basis, including weekends and sleep-ins.

Early Shift: 07:00
Late Shift: 15:00
Sleep-in: 23:00
