Our Tanker Services division provides a variety of waste services from small portable toilets to larger industrial projects such as septic tanks to customers across the country. We are growing and looking for a Regional Tanker Driver to join our Midlands region.
Overview
As a Regional Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for removing waste from customer sites and delivering non-potable water. You will ensure tankers are in a safe working position prior to emptying toilets and that operations are carried out safely, following all environmental and H&S regulations. Based out of a local depot, you will travel throughout the region to cover sickness, holidays, or where additional resource is required. You will also train new and existing 26t Tanker Drivers on the safe delivery of non-potable water and collection of liquid waste.
Responsibilities
- Remove waste from customer sites and deliver non-potable water.
- Ensure tankers are in a safe working position prior to emptying toilets and carry out operations safely in compliance with environmental and H&S regulations.
- Travel within the Midlands region to cover sickness, holidays, or additional resource needs.
- Train new and existing 26t Tanker Drivers on safe delivery of non-potable water and collection of liquid waste.
Requirements
- Significant experience in an HGV driving role.
- Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed, and a valid Digital Tachograph card.
- People supervision experience within the driving/hire industry is preferable.
- Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage customer queries professionally.
- Experience in the Welfare industry is desirable.
- Experience in management is desirable.
