The Role

GAP Pumps, Power & Environmental Division provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications. This includes a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.
As a Multi Skilled Engineer you will be based on site at one of major account customers in Peterhead. You will be responsible for overseeing all GAP equipment across the site, including water treatment systems, pumps, generators and plant.
You will be responsible for carrying out routine service and maintenance, including safety checks, as well as attending breakdowns across the site. You will identify and repair any faults or damage to all equipment whilst accurately updating service records.
**Please note, this role is a site based position near Peterhead and so candidates should be suitably located. However, we would also consider those willing to relocate to the area.
About You
- Proven experience as a mechanical engineer, fitter or diesel technician
- Sound and current knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, hoses, water treatment systems or generators is highly desirable
- Experience within the plant or hire industry would be highly beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- A customer-focussed approach workload and committed team player
- A valid driving licence is essential.
