About the role

If you're ambitious, analytical, and excited by the idea of building a long-term career in finance, this is your opportunity to start strong. We're looking for motivated graduates to join our Finance Graduate Development Programme - designed to fast track your learning, broaden your commercial understanding, and give you the foundations for a successful finance career within a dynamic, growing business.

You don't specifically need a Finance degree to apply. What matters most is your interest in developing a career in finance, your willingness to learn, and your drive to progress. As part of our commitment to your development, we'll support and fund relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CA, & CIMA) to help you build a strong professional pathway.

Based in Glasgow, you'll gain hands-on experience across key finance and commercial areas, working with experienced mentors and contributing to real business decision-making from day one. By the end of the programme, you won't just understand the finance function, you'll have the skills, confidence, and experience to make a genuine impact.

About You

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Rotating across core finance and commercial functions, gaining experience in areas such as management accounts, financial analysis & business support, internal audit, credit control, accounts payable, company tax, external audits and preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Supporting month end processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Working closely with operational teams to understand how financial decisions drive business performance.
  • Developing strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Using data to support commercial decisions and improve financial processes.
  • Getting involved in real projects that contribute directly to the success of the business.

What You'll Bring:

  • A degree in any discipline.
  • A genuine interest in finance, analysis, and understanding how businesses perform.
  • Strong communication skills - confident, clear, and able to build good relationships.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • A team-focused attitude and the drive to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About Us

Why Join GAP?

You'll be joining an industry leader that's growing and genuinely committed to your success. With nearly 200 locations nationwide and a wide range of specialist divisions, we offer exciting opportunities in everything from Plant and Tools to Lifting, Survey, Environmental, and Event Services.
