About the role
The Role
Our nationwide Plant and Tool division hires a range of equipment including diggers, dumpers and small hand tools to companies within the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
As the Depot Workshop Manager at GAP Group you will oversee the workshop facilities and advise the General Manager on best practice and procedures required. This is vital in ensuring we Inspect/test/maintain and calibrate all equipment to the manufacturers specification and ensuring equipment is ready for hire. You will also assist the General Manager with staff development and training.
About You
Successful applicants for the role should demonstrate the following:
• Significant experience in a similar role within the hire industry is essential.
• An understanding of plant equipment, hire products and the customer base within the Kilmarnock area would be highly beneficial
• The ability to lead and develop a high performing team who can deliver results and exceed customer expectations
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and overcome potential challenges within the workplace
• Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word
