This is a hands‑on role offering real career progression in a company that invests in its people.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the workshop and yard clean, tidy, and hazard‑free.
  • Clean plant equipment and store it in an orderly fashion.
  • Refuel plant and machinery, accurately updating fuel logs.
  • Quality‑check equipment before it leaves the depot to ensure it is hire‑ready.
  • Assist with general workshop duties as required.
  • Carry out driving duties (subject to licence) and assist Drivers and customers with loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Operate forklift when necessary.

About You

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in a labourer role, ideally within a hire depot or yard environment.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative in a busy environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • CSCS card, forklift licence, and driving licence are advantageous.

You'll be joining an industry leader that is growing and committed to your success. As a family‑run business with over 50 years of experience, we believe in doing things the right way. That means:

  • More investment in our equipment than anyone else in the industry, so you work with the best tools.
  • Remaining fully independent, which lets us make agile, long‑term decisions that support your success.
  • Offering real career growth, training, and development from day one.
  • Support that values you – from generous holidays to Life Assurance and Health & Wellness Support.
