Role Overview

As a subdivision of GAP Pump Services, GAP Power Solutions provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for our Stage V generator fleet and associated ancillaries. The role is based out of the Bury St Edmunds depot. You will travel across regional depots and customer sites to identify and repair faults or damage to equipment, including Stage V generators, AMF/MDU, distribution and cable systems, while accurately updating service records.

Responsibilities

  • Travel across regional depots and customer sites.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and repair faults or damage to Stage V generators, AMF/MDU and distribution/cable equipment.
  • Accurately update service records.
  • Ensure customers can hire equipment when needed through efficient servicing and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a generator engineer role with a relevant mechanical qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Sound and current knowledge of Stage V engines and generators is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Customer‑focussed approach and committed team player.
  • Valid driving licence.
