For over 24 years, GAP Electrical and Mechanical Services has delivered specialist project management, installation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Based in Conwy, we’re expanding our in-house team to support an ongoing local tunnel maintenance contract.

We’re looking for time-served Electrical or Mechanical Engineers to join our team on a part-time, casual basis. You’ll work as part of a skilled team to install, operate, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and electrical (industrial) wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures. The planned maintenance work spans 12 tunnel closures per annum, working two night shifts 8pm to 5am on each occasion, plus adhoc reactive maintenance. Work is scheduled 12 months in advance so you’ll always know your dates for the diary.

About You:

  • Time-served electrical or mechanical engineer with either industrial, commercial or infrastructure experience.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Reliable, with a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Access to transport to commute to our Conwy office, ready for a prompt 8pm induction/night shift.
  • Good communicator, and able to work alone and as part of a team.
