For over 24 years, GAP Electrical and Mechanical Services has delivered specialist project management, installation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Based in Conwy, we’re expanding our in-house team to support an ongoing local tunnel maintenance contract.
We’re looking for semi-skilled electrical or mechanical engineers to join our team on a part-time, casual basis. You’ll work as part of a team of qualified and semi-skilled engineers to install, operate, repair, and maintain mechanical systems and electrical (industrial) wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures. Work will also involve general maintenance such as cleaning equipment, checking and changing fixings, etc, therefore flexibility with tasks is essential.
The planned maintenance work spans 12 tunnel closures per annum, working two night shifts 8pm to 5am on each occasion, plus ad hoc reactive maintenance. Work is scheduled 12 months in advance, so you’ll always know your dates for the diary.
