Technical Manager
£55,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance

gap construction are delighted to be working with a well-respected regional homebuilder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments across the Home Counties.

We're seeking a Technical Manager to join their growing team and play a key role in overseeing design coordination and ensuring smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical function across residential projects, supporting both design and site teams.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of developments from land acquisition through to site completion.
  • Review and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and design information to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and drive effective solutions.
  • Ensure projects adhere to building regulations, company policies, and NHBC standards.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and advice to site teams during construction phases.
  • Act as a key link between project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Technical Manager, Design Manager, or similar within the housebuilding sector.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction, building regulations, and NHBC standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to build positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (site visits required).
