Performance Objectives
- There is an opportunity to join the shift team as a QC Chemist; the ideal candidate will be self-motivated; work well as part of a team or with minimum supervision; and enjoys working in a highly regulated and technical environment.
- Reporting to the QC Team Leader, the Quality Control Chemist's role is to analyse a steady throughput of inorganic samples to meet demanding production deadlines.
- Conducting analysis of in-process and finished products, reporting results to the relevant production department within agreed turnaround times.
- Following QSP analytical procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001, and product specification requirements.
- Operating laboratory instrumentation including ICP-OES, AAS, autotitrators, and IC systems.
- Verifying that all laboratory equipment is calibrated and fit for use prior to analysis.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe QC laboratory environment at all times.
- Carrying out any additional duties assigned by the QC Team Leader.
Person Specification
- BTEC, HNC/HND or Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry.
- ICP-AES or AAS experience preferable but not essential.
