The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across all areas of the business, gaining hands-on exposure to multiple departments and developing a well-rounded understanding of the construction industry. Performance Objectives:

  • Working closely with project managers and senior staff to gain a full understanding of drylining and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.
  • Rotating across different departments within the business to develop a broad understanding of operations, commercial functions, and project delivery.
  • Assisting in ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to across projects and sites.
  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality projects, contributing to the successful presentation and completion of works.
  • Learning to effectively manage project-based activities in line with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Assisting with the procurement and organisation of labour, materials, and equipment required for projects.
  • Collaborating with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to support smooth project delivery.
  • Attending site progress meetings and supporting project reporting and planning activities.
  • Taking part in structured training and development programmes designed to support long-term progression within the business.

Person Specification:

  • A background in construction, project management, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in the construction industry and willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
  • Current study towards, or possession of, a relevant qualification in construction, project management, or a related discipline would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently engage with colleagues, clients, and subcontractors.
  • A proactive and organised approach with a commitment to delivering a high standard of work.
  • Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management systems.
  • The ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • A full UK driving licence.
