gap construction are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of a leading Tier 1 interiors company, recognised for their delivery of prestigious fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK. This role will be based in Ipswich, supporting key projects while ensuring the highest standards of health and safety compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and diligent health and safety professional to join a well-established organisation on a 12-month contract, with the potential for future opportunities within the wider business.
Performance Objectives
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures across active projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Provide practical guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors on safe working practices.
- Assist in the delivery of health and safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and support root cause investigations where required.
- Produce clear and concise reports to highlight safety performance and recommend improvements.
- Promote a positive safety culture and act as a key point of contact for health and safety-related matters on site.
Person Specification
- NEBOSH General Certificate is essential.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a health and safety advisory role within construction, ideally with a focus on interiors or fit-out projects.
- Strong working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and construction site requirements.
