gap construction are recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing organisation for a skilled C# Programmer to join a forward-thinking automation and technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly advanced manufacturing and recycling technology environment, supporting the development of operational systems that drive automated production processes. You will work as part of a collaborative technical team, contributing to the design, delivery and optimisation of bespoke automation software and smart factory solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on the development, integration and ongoing improvement of operational technology applications supporting automated manufacturing and recycling operations.
- Involved across the full project lifecycle from software development through to commissioning support and system optimisation.
- Design and develop OT applications using C# and web based technologies.
- Configure and integrate SCADA, HMI and MES systems.
- Develop automation scripts and support PLC and industrial control logic.
- Support commissioning and installation of automation systems on production lines.
- Work across multiple automation and technology projects.
- Assist with the implementation of new manufacturing and recycling technology solutions.
- Integrate operational systems with wider IT and reporting platforms.
- Maintain and improve existing automation and OT systems.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and ongoing system support.
- Maintain clear technical documentation.
About You
- Degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
- Strong C# development experience.
- Knowledge of databases and system integration principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative working approach.
