Water Sector Project Manager β Infrastructure
Midlands | Hybrid β 3/4 Days Client Office | Up to £70,000 + car allowance + Benefits

I'm working with a growing infrastructure consultancy looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its expanding team.
This is a hands-on project delivery role, working closely with clients, contractors, QS teams and wider project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and effectively.
The Role:
- Manage and support the delivery of major water and environmental infrastructure projects
- Administer NEC3/4 contracts, including Options A, C & E
- Support project budgets, forecasting and Defined Cost planning
- Work closely with QS teams on monthly valuations and payment certificates
- Prepare and manage contractual communications, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
- Support project scope planning and feasibility activities
- Assist with tender documentation and evaluation of contractor submissions
- Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
- Engage with contractors during the early design and development stages
- Monitor project progress, expenditure and cash flow
- Manage project change, variations and contractual issues
- Support dispute resolution and final account activities
- Maintain strong project records and ensure contractual compliance
- Contribute to governance, reporting and continuous improvement
What You'll Need:
- Proven experience in Project Management within civil infrastructure
- Experience working within the water, utilities or wider infrastructure sector
- Strong practical experience administering NEC3/4 contracts β Options A, C & E are essential
- Good understanding of project commercial management, forecasting and cost control
- Experience managing change, variations and contractual communications
- Strong understanding of project risk and mitigation
- Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant numeric/engineering discipline
- Working towards membership of a relevant professional body, such as APM
- Valid CSCS card
- Water Hygiene Card desirable
- Right to work in the UK
Working Arrangements:
- Based in the Midlands
- This role requires 3 or 4 days per week in the client's office
- Some travel to other client sites may be required
