What if your next role gave you the opportunity to influence major infrastructure projects from the earliest stages while working closely with clients and industry-leading professionals? I'm working with a growing consultancy in the infrastructure and utilities sector that is looking to appoint an Estimator to join its established Cost Intelligence team. This is more than a traditional estimating role. You'll provide critical cost insights, support investment decisions, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects across a range of frameworks and programmes.
The Role:- Prepare estimates at various stages of project development using cost models and detailed estimating techniques
- Develop CAPEX, OPEX and NPV assessments to support option selection and project planning
- Undertake project benchmarking and establish cost envelopes for early-stage projects
- Carry out cost assurance reviews of project estimates and contractor submissions
- Support the collection and analysis of historical cost data to improve future forecasting
- Assist in the development and refinement of cost models and estimating tools
- Attend client meetings and site visits where required
- Work collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal teams across multiple projects
- Construction, Engineering or related degree qualification
- Experience within estimating, cost planning or cost management in infrastructure, utilities, engineering or construction sectors
- Knowledge of estimating methodologies such as CESMM or similar
- Strong analytical and commercial awareness
- Confident communicator with client-facing experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within project teams
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
