Based primarily from the Brighouse office, with occasional travel to site, the role will be responsible for the commercial management of live projects alongside supporting the pricing of new work. Estimating requirements are straightforward, with full scope and information provided by the operational teams. The business has grown this year following the award of several new projects across energy, rail and transport infrastructure. As part of this growth, the commercial function is being strengthened to support both delivery and future workload. Over a period of 6–12 months, the role is expected to develop, with a clear opportunity to progress into a Commercial Lead position as the team structure evolves.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project cost control, forecasting, CVRs, cashflow and final accounts
  • Supporting tendering, procurement and pricing activities
  • Contract administration, including variations, change control and negotiations
  • Providing accurate commercial reporting to senior management
  • Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity
  • Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual, legal and internal governance requirements
