Ganymede Solutions is working in partnership with a leading Rail Company to recruit experienced Rolling Stock Technicians to support planned, preventative maintenance on fleets in operation. Ganymede Solutions Ltd specialises in recruiting for Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Civil, Transportation, and General Engineering fields, offering both permanent and contract opportunities. About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role support the maintenance and operation of modern passenger fleet. As a Rolling Stock Technician, you’ll play a key role in Repair and Maintenance of operational passenger fleet. Responsibilities Inspections and exams Follow technical guidance (VMI, exam timing, etc) ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time Inspection, diagnosis and repair, along with documentation support of rolling stock on depot Follow VMI, exam timing, etc ensuring all maintenance and testing is complete, accurate, and on time. Complete documentation as required for exams Support colleagues as needed with servicing, fuelling, cleaning, etc. Qualifications A Level 3 qualification in any engineering discipline or related trades Ideally dual-skilled with the ability to fault find and fix on both mechanical and electrical systems A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the rolling stock industry The ability to follow modification instructions and technical drawings Experience in conducting Exams and fault find and fix on modern passenger rolling stock systems The ability to pass a Medical and Drugs & Alcohol test Right to Work documentation prepared for pre-employment compliance A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic Required Skills Experience in conducting Exams and fault find and fix on modern passenger rolling stock systems. Preferred Skills The ability to follow VMIs and fault find and fix on both mechanical and electrical systems for modern rolling stock.
