A leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor has launched a new Track / Pway division following the award of a long-term framework project in the North West. With secured works running through to at least the end of 2028 (and further tenders underway), this is a rare chance to join a growing rail business at an early stage, with genuine long-term career prospects.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Track Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the site-based delivery of permanent way works, supporting projects from tender stage through to construction and handback. This is a hands-on role focused on:

  • Technical and engineering delivery of track projects
  • Construction methodology, sequencing, and site support
  • Quality control and assurance on live rail sites
  • Supporting track renewals and enhancement works

  • Experience in Permanent Way / Track Engineering
  • Strong understanding of track renewals and site delivery
  • Comfortable working in a construction-focused, site-led role
