I am working with a Tier 1 rail contractor that is looking for someone to manage a portfolio of projects across the North West, worth around £10m in total. You will take responsibility from start to finish - procurement, cost management, change control, CVRs, and more.
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, accountability, and has the trust to get on and do a good job.
What’s in it for you:- A genuinely varied portfolio of projects rather than one long-term job where you are doing the same thing day in, day out.
- Hybrid working with a base in central Manchester (three days a week).
- A strong pipeline of work across the North West.
- Up to £72,000 basic salary plus car allowance.
- Excellent pension contribution.
- Structured professional development and support towards chartership or further upskilling if that is something you want to pursue.
- A culture built on trust, not micromanagement.
- You do not need a degree for this position. What matters is your experience and attitude.
- If you are proactive, commercially sharp, and used to running several live schemes at once, you will fit in well.
- They are open to people from rail, construction, or general infrastructure backgrounds and are happy to consider strong QSs who feel ready to step up into a senior role.
Start: Early to mid-December (ideal if you are on a four-week notice).
Location: Central Manchester (hybrid).
If this sounds like something that could be right for you, please drop me a message or apply, and I will give you a call to discuss it further.
