The Role
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical package delivery and technical governance, along with the management of the mechanical package delivery strategy for the framework. You will manage site surveys of existing mechanical equipment. Handover to project MEICA delivery engineering team. Implementation of standard procurement specific requirements in relation to manufacture, off-site testing, delivery and installation are incorporated within mechanical packages. Ensuring that delivery teams are implementing deployed frameworks. Collaboration within the wider functions of the business – design, estimating, civils, commercial to support overall effective delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Input to design solution at survey and concept stages.
- Production of mechanical enquiry packages based on design documentation.
- Organisation of decommissioning / relocation of existing mechanical equipment.
- Definition of standard products and technical solutions for deployment across the programme.
- Guiding design teams towards standardisation of solutions across the programme.
- Managing key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure production / delivery timescales.
- Liaison with the client’s mechanical lead.
- Review and sign-off of mechanical elements of condition survey report.
- On and off-site inspection and testing, including documentation, procedures and critical function witness testing i.e., FAT & SAT, string tests, etc.

Proven experience in water civil engineering projects. Strong background in mechanical engineering.
