About the Role
Join a leading digital upgrade programme with one of the UK's premier train operating companies in the North of England. Ganymede Solutions is partnering with a major player in the UK rail sector to recruit an Electrical Technician for a high-profile digital modifications project at Manchester International Depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a multi-million-pound fleet digitalisation programme, working on the latest passenger-facing and onboard technologies.
Responsibilities
- Installing and testing digital equipment as part of a fleet-wide upgrade
- Working on systems such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet backbones, CCTV/NVR, USB sockets, passenger information systems, and driver's cab upgrades
- Ensuring all work meets technical and safety standards within project timeframes
- Collaborating with a skilled team to deliver quality work
Requirements
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience working on rolling stock
- Strong team communication skills and attention to detail
- Availability to start between 26th May and 2nd June
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening and full railway medical
- Provision of Right to Work documentation before start date
- A proactive, can-do attitude
