Our client designs and manufactures high-pressure hydraulic equipment for the industrial industry. With over 100-year history, this business has secured their position as a global leader. With 45 people based on their site in Leeds, the UK business now generates £10M per annum. This global business has a head office in the US and satellite offices in Europe and Asia, with customers already established all over the world. As such, this role provides the opportunity for global travel. This innovative business is constantly assessing and refreshing their electrical and controls systems, putting them at the forefront of technical design. They are looking to recruit an Electrical & Controls Engineer with immediate effect.
The role of Electrical & Controls Engineer provides the unique opportunity to join a team focused on staying up to date with advances and the latest technology, keeping the business and their product continually progressing. Working in a team of 4, within a wider design team of 10, this role joins a well-established team programming on Siemens. The role will involve:
- Cradle to grave design work, from customer bidding and specification gathering through to commissioning and installation
- Writing proposals, liaising with purchasing, and dealing with suppliers
- Working closely with project management to ensure projects are on time and in budget
- Pre- and post-testing on the shop floor
- Overseeing commissioning and installation
- Conducting programming mainly on Siemens
To be successful in your application for this role you will need:
- Demonstratable experience covering both electrical and controls
- Experience managing cradle-to-grave design projects
- Drive and passion for new technologies
- Experience in a highly technical manufacturing environment such as pneumatics or robotics
For this role the following benefits are on offer:
- £45,000 - £50,000 per annum base salary
- Flexible working hours, with core hours being 9.30-3
