The Company
You will be joining a well-established organisation that has their own in-house design function, supporting a close-knit team that operates as an internal consultancy supporting a broad portfolio of rail infrastructure projects across the UK.
The Role
You will be supporting a variety of high-profile rail projects and frameworks across the UK, carrying out civil engineering design (Rail Depots, Stations, Ancillary, Lineside, Bridges, Platforms etc) to support rail systems delivery. You will undertake structural design calculations and assessments. Act as a hands-on design engineer, contributing directly to technical output rather than purely managing. Ensure designs consider constructability, buildability, and practical site constraints.
About You
- Proven experience in civil design within the rail sector
- Experience in fulfilling the role of Contractor’s Responsible Engineer or ability to fulfil the role in the future an advantage.
- Strong background in Rail civils, Structural and/or Construction design
- Good understanding of constructability and site delivery constraints
- Experience undertaking or supporting site surveys
Remuneration
Salary up to £55,000 per annum, 25 days holiday + BH, Matched pension scheme up to 5%
