Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to take commercial ownership of high-value construction projects and play a leading role within a respected main contractor?
We are working with an established construction main contractor delivering education, healthcare, commercial and industrial schemes up to £30m. As the business continues to secure quality projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who can lead from the front commercially and support the development of the wider commercial team.
This is a key commercial position offering genuine responsibility, variety and visibility. You will act as project lead on larger schemes, taking projects from procurement through to final account, while working closely with operational teams, clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
You will also have the opportunity to manage and mentor Assistant Quantity Surveyors, helping them develop their commercial knowledge while ensuring projects are delivered with strong cost control, contractual awareness and commercial discipline.
What you'll be doing:
- Commercially lead projects up to £30m across education, healthcare, commercial and industrial sectors.
- Manage procurement, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts.
- Provide commercial guidance to project teams and maintain strong client and supply chain relationships.
- Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support, manage and mentor Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure projects are delivered profitably and to programme.

- Experience managing projects commercially from pre-construction/procurement through to final account.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts; NEC experience would also be advantageous.
- Confident communicator with the ability to lead meetings, manage stakeholders and support junior colleagues.
- Commercially astute, organised and proactive, with a hands-on approach to project delivery.
