Job Title: Service Engineer Ref: (phone number removed) Location: London (South) Salary: Circa £43,500pa; £23.29 PAYE; £30.15 Umbrella Shift: Rolling 2 shift pattern, 36 hour working week Role Type: Temporary to Permanent Role Summary This is an exciting time to join a busy rail company as a Service Engineer within rolling stock engineering. This is a temporary to permanent position with full training provided internally. Upon successful completion of the probationary and training period the individual will be offered a permanent contract of employment and an ongoing development and training plan. As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for supporting  the repair, upgrade and reactive maintenance of an operational fleet of rail vehicles.  This will include carrying out removal and replacement of parts and equipment within the rolling stock, This may include both interior and exterior fitting and underframe work. There will also be opportunities to undertake fault finding and diagnostic tasks as you become accustomed to the fleet and progress in your familiarity and abilities.
