Ganymede Energy has partnered with the UK's largest and most successful Solar PV installation company, powered by a market leading energy supplier, to recruit an experienced Solar PV Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing renewable energy business and play a key role in delivering high-quality Solar PV installations across new-build housing developments.

As a Solar PV Electrician, you'll be responsible for the electrical installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems. You'll work alongside roofing and installation teams to ensure systems are installed safely, correctly and to a high standard.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Installing and connecting Solar PV systems, including DC and AC cabling.
  • Installing and wiring inverters, batteries and associated electrical equipment.
  • Completing electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning.
  • Carrying out remedial works, repairs and maintenance where required.
  • Working safely at height and following all site health and safety requirements.
  • Completing installation paperwork and providing clear handover information.

The Package:

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Holiday: 33 days annual leave, including Bank Holidays and an additional day for your birthday

The Ideal Candidate:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or an equivalent qualification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Level 3 Inspection and Testing qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience installing grid-connected or off-grid Solar PV systems.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach.
  • Confidence working at height and alongside other trades.
