About the role:
The role involves supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operations of a large fleet of rolling stock by monitoring and maintaining technical aspects of fleet performance, managing fault resolution and engineering assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting fleet reliability, availability and meeting performance targets.
- Investigating and finding solutions to recurring technical and operational faults.
- Engineering sign‑off on certain activities within delegated authority.
- Working alongside depot and maintenance teams to resolve in‑time fleet issues.
- Data analysis to identify trends and risks.
- Supporting maintenance planning and engineering assurance processes.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
About You:
- Must have rolling stock experience in reactive maintenance, technical support engineering, maintainability or reliability‑focused role.
- Qualified to HNC / Level 4 (or equivalent) in any engineering discipline.
- Exceptional fault‑finding and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with technical data, systems and maintenance records.
- Strong communication skills to work alongside multiple departments.
