This role offers a great opportunity to join on a permanent position with the company, which includes additional benefits, such as free rail travel on their network.
The role and about you: As a Train Cleaner, you will be responsible for the full and deep cleaning of train interiors, ensuring they are spotless for passenger service. This is a hands-on role which requires you to be physically fit and capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 26kg. Your duties will include:
- Full & deep cleans of the carriages from top to bottom
- Wiping and sanitising all surfaces and touch points
- Hoovering and mopping floors
- Dusting and cleaning windows
- Cleaning and restocking toilets
Your roster/scheduled week of work will be on a Monday to Friday basis, with working hours being 09:00 – 16:00. You are a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in their work. You thrive in a physically demanding role and are prepared to work nights as part of a varied shift pattern. You must also be able to pass a full railway medical (including sight, hearing, and colour vision tests) and a comprehensive drug and alcohol test.
