Interim Operations Manager Location:
Warwickshire Rate:
£550-£650 per day PAYE including holiday pay / £500-£600 per day Ltd Company, Outside IR35 Contract:
3-6 Month Contract Ready to make a real difference to a manufacturing operation? If you're an experienced Operations Manager who enjoys walking into a business, understanding what's holding performance back and then making things better, this could be a really interesting interim opportunity. You'll be joining the Warwickshire manufacturing operation of a globally recognised engineering brand at an important point in its development. The focus is simple:
improve operational performance, engage the workforce and drive a step-change across safety, quality, delivery and productivity. This isn't a role where you'll be sitting behind a desk reviewing reports. You'll be expected to be visible on the shop floor, work closely with the operational teams and turn improvement plans into measurable results. What will you be doing? You'll take a hands-on leadership role across the manufacturing operation, with responsibility for: Improving
safety, quality, delivery and productivity
across the site Driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement activity Improving manufacturing flow, planning and capacity Identifying operational issues and putting practical corrective actions in place Improving labour efficiency and manufacturing costs Developing stronger operational processes, systems and performance measures Building accountability and a high-performance culture across the operation Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Finance and other key stakeholders Supporting the transition of production and ensuring the site continues to meet customer and commercial requirements What are we looking for? You'll be an experienced manufacturing operations leader who is comfortable taking ownership and making decisions in a fast-moving environment. You'll ideally have experience of: Leading manufacturing or assembly operations Driving measurable improvements in
OEE, output, quality, OTIF, cost or safety Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Leading teams through operational or cultural change Working in an engineering or manufacturing environment Using data and KPIs to identify problems and drive improvement Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Finance and senior leadership Most importantly, you'll be
hands-on, commercially aware and comfortable leading from the front . Why this role? This is an opportunity to take ownership of a genuine operational improvement challenge within an established manufacturing business. You'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact, influence the way the site operates and leave behind sustainable improvements rather than simply keeping the operation ticking over. Interested? If you're an experienced Operations Manager and this sounds like the sort of challenge you'd enjoy,
