An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major UK infrastructure contractor delivering capital maintenance works across the water sector. The role will initially be a 6-month contract and will see you joining a close-knit commercial team responsible for delivering a portfolio of capital maintenance schemes across Lincolnshire. With a number of projects currently working towards key completion dates, we are looking for an experienced commercial professional who can quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of existing schemes and drive them through commercial close-out. Projects typically range from circa 500k up to 2m in value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of multiple capital maintenance schemes
  • Taking ownership of projects through to completion and final account
  • Managing subcontractor accounts and commercial administration
  • Assessment and management of variations and change
  • Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial controls
  • Ensuring commercial processes are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Supporting the delivery teams against key programme and completion dates
  • Providing commercial guidance and support
