Vacancies have arisen to join a UK wide engineering company at their Leeds site on a permanent basis as they continue to expand their operations in servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist heavy vehicles.

The Role and About You:

The successful applicant will be responsible for helping to achieve team goals and objectives in a heavy, hands-on environment and will not be afraid of getting their hands dirty. This position would be valuable to somebody looking to utilise an exceptional training package with genuine career and personal progression opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to health & safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards.
  • Ensure company engineering standards and procedures are applied and followed.
  • Mechanically and electrically maintain, service, fault find in vehicles in accordance with approved maintenance plans.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork for examinations and repairs is correctly completed to company standards.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Being able to read mechanical and electrical schematics.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to safe working practices.
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.

About You:

The successful applicant should be a safety conscious and motivated self-starter, a fully versatile team member who has well established experience within a heavy engineering background such as Automotive, Heavy Plant, Bus, HGV, Rail or Military. A flexible approach to working hours is essential as Leeds operates a 24/7 shift roster.
