Ganymede Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Joiner to join a leading rail infrastructure maintenance team based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract working across railway stations and associated buildings, carrying out a variety of maintenance and refurbishment activities.
The Role
As a Joiner, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of railway station buildings and facilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. Duties will include:
- General joinery maintenance and repair works
- Repair and replacement of doors, locks and door furniture
- Repairs to station buildings, roofing, guttering and drainage systems
- Painting, filling and plastering where required
- Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance tasks
- Supervising subcontractors on site
- Completing and checking site documentation and paperwork
- Working in line with health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- City & Guilds qualification in Joinery (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction or facilities environments
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- PTS certification desirable but not essential
- Ability to start within one week's notice
