About the Role
Are you an experienced Sub Agent looking for your next freelance opportunity? We have an exciting opportunity to join a major civil engineering team, supporting the successful mobilisation and pre-construction planning of large infrastructure schemes.
As a Sub Agent on this project, you will play a key role during the early stages of project delivery, helping establish engineering management systems, project documentation, and governance processes to ensure projects are set up for safe, efficient, and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Mobilisation: Support the development of engineering management systems and construction documentation required to successfully mobilise projects ahead of construction.
- Planning & Governance: Prepare and coordinate key project documentation, maintain document control systems, identify gaps in engineering processes, and ensure compliance with project and statutory requirements.
- Project Support: Work closely with project teams and stakeholders throughout the pre-construction phase, providing engineering support, coordinating documentation, and assisting the transition into the construction phase.
What We're Looking For
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- CSCS and SMSTS.
- Previous experience as a Sub Agent or Section Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of pre-construction planning and project mobilisation.
- Experience producing engineering management documentation and construction phase plans.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Water sector or utilities experience is advantageous but not essential.
