I’m recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to work on major warehouse and logistics automation projects. You’ll be responsible for driving quality across manufacturing, assembly, installation and commissioning activities, working closely with engineering, project and site teams.
The Role
- Quality Management: Ensure products and processes meet engineering, customer and quality requirements
- Inspections & Audits: Carry out quality inspections, process audits and compliance checks
- Non-Conformances: Investigate issues and lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why and Ishikawa
- Corrective Actions: Manage CAPA and ensure issues are resolved effectively
- Supplier Quality: Support supplier audits, quality issues and performance improvement
- Project Support: Work with engineering and project teams through installation and commissioning
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce defects, waste and improve quality
- Reporting: Monitor quality KPIs and produce relevant reports for project and management teams
What I’m Looking For
- Proven Quality Engineer / Quality Management experience
- Experience within warehouse automation, material handling, engineering or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience with internal and supplier auditing
- Good understanding of 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA
- Experience with quality inspections and non-conformance management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Power BI and ERP experience would be beneficial
- Strong communication and organisational skills
