We're recruiting for an experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join an established and growing engineering design team, working across complex and high-value projects and delivering sustainable, compliant and cost-effective electrical design solutions from concept through to construction.

You'll be responsible for:
- Leading the delivery of electrical engineering works, managing all aspects of building services engineering and ensuring coordinated solutions across disciplines.
- Managing team utilisation, quality of technical output and team development, maintaining high standards of engineering delivery.
- Preparing electrical designs and technical advice, including feasibility studies, design-stage information and condition reports.
- Working collaboratively with other engineering disciplines and project teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Managing teams to produce high-quality multidisciplinary designs and technical specifications that meet client requirements and project objectives.
- Ensuring projects are delivered effectively to agreed budgets, programmes and quality standards.
- Supporting business development activities, including bid submissions, client meetings and the development of new business opportunities.
- Building strong relationships with clients and wider project stakeholders.

We're looking for Principal Electrical Design Engineers with:
- Chartered Engineer status and membership of a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE or IET.
- A Degree in Electrical Building Services, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience within electrical building services design.
- Proven experience managing and developing multidisciplinary technical or engineering teams.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to lead complex electrical design projects.
- Experience delivering sustainable, compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions from concept through to construction.
- Strong understanding of quality procedures and document control within engineering design.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to a wider business audience.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting bids, client meetings or business development activities.
- A proactive approach to developing both yourself and others.
