The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced General Foreman / Foreperson to support the delivery of a major civil engineering programme. Working alongside the site management team, you will oversee daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors and operatives, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site operations and workforce activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, plant, materials, and labour.
- Manage permits, briefings, inspections, and site records.
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with quality standards.
- Monitor progress and identify potential issues before they impact delivery.
- Promote strong Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a General Foreman / Foreperson on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in utilities, water, or heavy civils environments.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
- Good understanding of excavation, drainage, concrete, pipework, and Permit to Dig procedures.
- Confident using electronic reporting and site management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
