Health & Safety Assistant
Location: Bedfordshire
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hour week
Salary: £40-55k DOE + company vehicle & fuel card

Ganymede Solutions are pleased to have partnered with a successful civil engineering firm supplying to some of the big players within the commercial and industrial sectors across groundworks, new build and roadworks. This is the perfect time to join this business as they have just signed up to a handful of exciting new projects valued between £1m to £30m! They pride themselves on providing a high-quality service and building strong relationships with their clients.
The Role and Responsibilities
As the Health & Safety assistant, you will be supporting the health and safety and wide operational divisions including the projects team and wider team to provide expert, independent guidance across multiple projects in a customer-facing environment. Some of the projects you will be involved with are new build homes, access roads and groundworks. You will be required to travel to multiple sites across the region including occasional trips back to the head office.
- Support the senior management team in achieving the company health and safety objectives
- Promote a strong and positive presence through positive safety culture and visible leadership and engagement
- Conduct RAMS, risk assessments and record/monitor near misses and safety observations
- Ensure compliance and stay up to date with legislations and company policies
About You
You will be an experienced Health and Safety assistant within the Civils Construction Sector. Strong knowledge and experience within groundworks would be advantageous. Must be NEBOSH certified within general and/or construction.
