The Opportunity
We are working in partnership with a leading, specialist contractor operating nationally within highways and infrastructure support services. Due to sustained growth and increased workload across key frameworks, they are looking to appoint a Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a high-performing depot in Peterborough. This is a long-term, career-focused opportunity offering genuine responsibility, autonomy, and scope to grow within a respected and well-supported business.
The Role
- Take full commercial responsibility for a depot
- Produce and manage monthly CVRs
- Provide commercial support across multiple civils and highways contracts
- Manage and mentor a Commercial Assistant
- Support depot growth and strengthen relationships with key clients and frameworks
- Operate CEMAR (training available if required)
- Work closely with senior commercial leadership at regional and national level
About You
- Experience in a commercial or QS role
- Background with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor, or a specialist highways business
- Comfortable working in a depot-led, hands‑on environment
- Strong understanding of project‑based cost control and reporting
- Looking for long‑term progression rather than a short‑term move
