This initial 6-month contract has the potential for permanent placement, offering a solid platform for career growth.
The Company: Join a respected company within the railway industry with a strong reputation for employee development and inclusivity. The company operates over 200 sites and manages millions of daily commutes, striving to provide outstanding passenger experiences.
The Role: We are looking for five detail-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness for passengers who rely on the railway service. You will join the night cleaning team, covering shifts as outlined above. Effective communication skills are essential, as the depot is busy, and teamwork is crucial.
Key Requirements:
- A keen eye for detail and dedication to maintaining cleanliness.
- Previous experience in vehicle, industrial, or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Ideally, holding a Sentinel card with PTS competencies of AC/DC (training provided if not already held).
Shift Hours: The schedule includes night shifts on a 7-day rotating roster, with the following shift pattern: 21:30pm to 04:30am.
Pay Rate & Benefits:
- Standard Hours (35 hours p/w): £13.15 p/h
- Overtime (36+ hours) and Rest Days: £19.58 p/h
- Sunday Shifts: £22.85 p/h
Eligible candidates will receive a pay increase after 12 weeks under AWR. This role offers a pathway to permanent employment for candidates who excel during the contract period.
About You: To be considered for the Train Cleaner role at Cricklewood Depot:
- You should have experience in vehicle, industrial, or commercial cleaning.
- You must be comfortable working night shifts on a rotating 7-day roster, with potential overtime.
- You will undergo training on depot safety, cleaning procedures, and potentially PTS training if selected.
- Passing a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, is required.
