We are supporting a large, live transportation transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Business Change Project Manager on a contract basis to support the rollout of a new digital technology platform. This is a high-profile assignment within a complex operational environment, supporting the transition from a legacy system to a modern, real-time solution used across the entire business.
You will act as the primary interface between the programme and the wider business, ensuring stakeholders are engaged, the organisation is prepared for change, and delivery milestones are achieved. This contract will suit a strong, traditional Project Manager with experience delivering business change in transportation, rostering, or similarly regulated operational environments.
The programme is already live, the new system will deliver an integrated digital technology capability, real-time operational data, improved operational response during disruption, digital self-service functionality for staff, and enhanced reliability across operational planning.
Key Responsibilities- You will represent the business change workstream across the organisation, leading stakeholder engagement and communications activity.
- You will coordinate and manage SMEs across multiple operational functions, review and align existing processes to new system requirements, and drive delivery against agreed milestones.
- The role includes coordinating cross-functional testing activity, managing supplier contributions, supporting the implementation of new business processes, and coordinating training and readiness activities to ensure the workforce is prepared for implementation.
- You will also support programme planning, risk management and reporting in close collaboration with the Lead Programme Manager.
- You will have a strong background in project management within complex, live operational environments and demonstrable experience delivering business change programmes.
- Experience within transportation operations, rostering, or comparable sectors such as aviation or logistics is highly desirable.
- You will be comfortable working within traditional project management frameworks and experienced in coordinating cross-functional teams.
- You will be credible, personable and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
- You will have strong communication skills, the ability to challenge and influence, and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
- You will be resilient and capable of bringing structure and clarity to a complex, multi-department programme.
