Based at Liverpool Lime Street Station, starting at £12.60 per hour for a 6‑month initial contract. The role offers the strong potential for a permanent position with the company, which includes additional benefits like free rail travel on their network.
As a Part Time Train Cleaner, you will be responsible for the turnaround and full cleans of the train interior, ensuring it is clean for the next journey. For the turnaround cleaning, your duties will include a full walk through of the train, picking up any litter, changing the bins, wiping down and sanitizing surfaces/touch points. For the full cleans, the duties will be the same as the turnaround cleans, but you will be expected to hoover, mop, clean the windows, toilets and perform tanking.
This is a hands‑on role that requires you to be physically fit and capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 26 kg. You will work a demanding shift pattern across a 7‑day week, specifically on a 7 on 7 off rota, with the working hours being 17:00 to 22:00.
You are a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in your work. You thrive in a physically demanding role and are prepared to work seven days in a row as part of a varied shift pattern. You must also be able to pass a full railway medical (including sight, hearing, and colour vision tests) and a comprehensive drug and alcohol test.
