Commercial Assistant β Rail / Infrastructure

Working Pattern: Hybrid β 3 days office / 2 days WFH
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Assistant to join an established engineering and infrastructure business.
The role will initially involve a 6β9 month secondment supporting the commercial team on a major rail infrastructure programme, before returning to the wider business.
The Role
You will support the Commercial Manager and wider team with day-to-day commercial administration, including:
- Supporting weekly labour call-offs and orders
- Checking timesheets, rates and supplier applications for payment
- Processing authorised amendments and variations
- Maintaining commercial trackers, records and audit trails
- Liaising with suppliers and project teams to resolve queries
- Providing general commercial and administrative support
About You
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Excel
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Previous commercial, finance, procurement or administration experience desirable
- A relevant QS, commercial or construction qualification would be advantageous
- Rail/infrastructure experience desirable but not essential
