Job Description
Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1 & MET1, looking for a rewarding contract, with a great work life balance and a new training opportunity?
Ganymede have partnered with Cadent Gas Network to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers, dealing with in-day gas escapes.
As part of the role, you will be provided with full training, including putting you through your CODNESP1 (Gas escape qualification) & direct training with Cadent Gas along with mentoring before going out live as an emergency response gas engineer across the Essex area.
About the role:
You will be ensuring that the customers gas supply is restored in an efficient manner, dealing with internal and external gas escapes as reported by the public, dealing with pressure problems, pipe work reruns, surveys, and re-connections to the gas supply after disconnection whilst always ensuring minimal disruption to the customer.
Package:
Basic salary: £41,500
Monday to Friday – 8-hour shifts between 8am – 8pm – all in day work.
Fully funded 1 ½ day course sitting your CODNESP1 qualification.
2 weeks FCO training with Cadent Gas plus 2 weeks mentoring in your region.
£2,000 lump sum bonus paid at the end of the contract!
23 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata)
You will be provided with high quality tools, a fully racked vehicle, uniform, fuel card & training.
About you:
You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.
We're looking for excellent communication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
