Health & Safety Advisor
Essex | £45,000–£55,000 + Choice of Company Car
Looking for a Health & Safety role where you can build your experience, earn a competitive salary and develop your career long term?
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious construction business specialising in domestic and commercial building projects, which continues to grow year on year. With further expansion planned, they're looking for a hands‑on Health & Safety Advisor who wants to become a key part of the business and grow with it.
You'll benefit from a varied role combining office-based responsibilities with regular site visits across Essex, giving you the chance to work closely with site teams and make a genuine impact on health and safety standards.
This would suit someone who is keen to develop over the next few years, take on more responsibility as the business expands and build a long-term career rather than simply move into another job.
The Role
- Carrying out regular site visits across Essex, with home every evening.
- Supporting site teams with day-to-day health and safety matters.
- Completing site inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement.
- Promoting a positive health and safety culture across office and site environments.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Providing practical advice and support to operational teams.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- CSCS card preferred.
- A proactive, approachable personality with a hands‑on attitude.
- Someone comfortable splitting their time between the office and construction sites.
- A team player who can build relationships with site teams and management.
- Groundworks experience would be ideal but is not essential.
What's on Offer?
- £45,000–£55,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Choice of company car.
- Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with some flexibility.
- Regional travel across Essex, with no overnight stays required.
- The opportunity to join a rapidly growing construction business.
- Long-term career development, with progression opportunities as the business continues to expand.
