Project Overview
An excellent opportunity to join a Tier 1 Principal Contractor on a significant fire alarm replacement scheme at a hospital. The project involves the removal of the existing fire alarm infrastructure and the installation of a completely new system. You will be supporting fully qualified electricians in the delivery of the power supply network for the upgraded fire alarm system within a live healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Working under the supervision of qualified electricians, duties will include:
- Assisting with the installation of mains power supplies to fire alarm panels and related equipment
- Cable pulling, containment installation, and general electrical support works
- Adhering to strict health and safety standards, particularly within an operational hospital setting
- Coordinating closely with the on-site electrical team and specialist fire alarm subcontractors
Essential Requirements
- Valid DBS check (Enhanced preferred)
- Asbestos Awareness certification
- CSCS or ECS card (Gold or appropriate level for mate/improver)
- Previous experience assisting with electrical installation works
- Ability to work safely, efficiently, and as part of a team on large projects
Desirable Experience
- Working toward NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Previous exposure to hospital or healthcare environments
